Located at 7 Island Ave in Skowhegan, ME, The Skowhegan by Kasa offers a modern hotel experience within a thoughtfully converted historic factory building. Guests can expect spacious, air-conditioned rooms, some featuring kitchens, blending comfort with functional design. The property maintains a smoke-free policy and provides free Wi-Fi and parking, with a virtual self-service model for check-in and check-out, catering to travelers who prefer a streamlined digital approach.

The interiors reflect a balance between historic charm and contemporary style, highlighted by high ceilings and large windows that create a loft-like atmosphere. Rooms have been described as clean, well-equipped, and featuring quality furnishings, though some guests noted ongoing finishing touches during development, resulting in occasional noise or minor inconveniences. The absence of a pool is offset by accessible nearby outdoor attractions and event spaces, including a soon-to-open restaurant and an Oktoberfest-themed outdoor patio bar.

I had an excellent stay at The Skowhegan by Kasa. The property is beautifully maintained and has a really nice balance of historic charm and modern comfort. Everything was spotless when I arrived, and the space felt thoughtfully designed with high-quality furnishings and plenty of room to relax. One thing I really appreciated was how smooth and convenient the entire process was. Check-in was simple, communication was clear, and everything was exactly as described. It made the stay completely stress-free. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay whether you're visiting for a quick trip or a longer getaway. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-kept place in Skowhegan.

I stayed at The Skowhegan for a business trip. It was amazing! The rooms and fitness facilities were pristine. I wasn't there long enough to check out anything else, but will be back!

Everything about my stay was amazing. The rooms are spacious, modern, and look more like a 1 bedroom apartment than a hotel room. The design is beautiful and the scenery with the river next to the hotel is very pleasant. Will be my go to place every time I visit Skowhegan.

Nice new hotel in the center of Skowhegan. It gives an upscale and modern vibes. It’s still under construction, but almost done. The room we stayed in was 95% done (no bathroom fan, just a hole in the feminine). The finishings are nice. They allow dogs! The walls are pretty thin, and you can hear everyone coming into the hallway. Also the you can hear people flushing the toilet above you. But bed was comfortable, and shower was nice. Give it 6 more months and things should be more finished and settled in. Will be back!

New and great concept for the modern traveler, bound to be a model and commonplace theme of the very near future. No reception desk or concierge. Everything done virtually through your phone, including check in and out. Sleek and modern design of this once factory, with incredibly high ceilings. Basement gathering area, with independent office rooms, a gym, soon to be entertainment/theater room. Event space, Oktoberfest outdoor patio bar (hours vary) with a great view of the dam. Days away, to be opened, restaurant attached. Apartments on one side/and above the complex. Now. A couple of shortcomings, which are understandable during completion of the location. Noise was present very early in the morning with construction. You could hear your neighbors, either above or beside your room. Couldn't ascertain which. Bathroom pocket doors, although commanding in size, were incredibly difficult to open or close due to the almost nonexistent handle. Perhaps an alternative can be considered here. Bathroom, although spacious, lacked hooks and furniture to place personal items. These may all be a consideration during the completion of this establishment, but thought to include this information. Stayed in 2 types of rooms (coming and going). Single bedroom with a large and comfortable bed and massive television set, opposite. Second was a suite with a living space and half galley kitchen with induction cookout (2 burners), refrigerator, large counter, cutlery, plates, pots and counter coffee machine. Complimentary canned water in the fridge. Eating space would be at the couch with a large coffee table. Television in both the living space and bedroom. Plenty of parking at the front of the building with a wheelchair ramp on one side and stairs on the other. Based on the style of this concept and rooms, it is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Again, finishing touches may be forthcoming, but all in all, an amazing concept and place to stay. Absolutely recommend for business or pleasure.

We enjoyed our stay at the "Skowhegan". The rooms were very unique with a loft like feel. Extra large windows and tall ceilings. The beds sooo comfortable as were the pillows. The shower was the highlight I didnt want to get out. The virtual Kasa team was very attentive at all times to answer questions and requests promptly and efficiently. The Biergarten restaurant and adorable store next door was alot of fun. They had coffee and delicious muffins you could buy a stone throw from the front door as early as 7am. We would happily stay again and thank you! Jamie & John

Was in for dinner, but if the rooms are like the restaurant, they are cozy and welcoming. Had dinner for the first time. A wonderful, open, and inviting space. Friendly and prompt service. Every part of the meal was delicious, and the Schnitzel is definitely big enough for two people. The beer list had something for everyone. Definitely stop in and enjoy some fresh cuisine!
